rank.threshold

Necessity:optional
Value:0.0 - 1.0

When doing a visual search the best matching images are returned, even if there are no relevant images in the index. With rank.threshold you can force a minimum result relevancy, reduce the number of found images and realize a filter like query most users are familiar with.

When doing a similarity search pixolution flow will only return images with a calculated score equal or higher than the given rank.threshold value.

Set rank.conf.weight

Set rank.conf.weight=100 so that the threshold will be applied to the visual relevance only since the Solr score calculation has no upper bound and can lead to much higher scores than 1.0. See Weight Textual And Visual Relevance how rank.conf.weight influences the scoring.

Here is an example for searching by image id 123 and only return images with a minimum score of 0.7:

&pixolution=true&rank.by=id:123&rank.conf.weight=100&rank.threshold=0.7
